FATAL SHOT WOUND.
YOUNG FARMER'S DEATH. [from our own connr.sroNDKKT. ] HAMILTON. Monday. ' An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of Thomas Francis Taylor, aged .55, single,, who was found dcail on a farm near Whatawhata yesterday. Evidence/was given by Richardson Freeman Taylor, a brother, that deceased left his homo at Te KowUai on September 21 to remove some cattle on a farm owned by their father ori the old Raglan Road nrir Whatawhata. Before leaving decensed had a di agreement with his father, John Taylor, regarding the raising of money on a mortgage. Deceased, his threo brothers and the father ha.d an interest in tlie Te Kov&ai farm, sard witness, and deceased objected to the raising of a loan. Oscar Gaskcll and Constable P. Watts gave evidence relating to the finding of the body. They said deceased had a shot •wound in the head, and a gun, with an empty cartridge in the breech, was fonnd near tho body. A verdict of suicide was returned.
