GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
RECEPTION AT TE KUITI.' VISIT TO WAITOMO HOSTEL. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE KUITI, Monday. The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe/ and the Lady Bledisloe, accompanied by Lady Nora Jellicoe and Sir John Hanham, are staying at the Waitomo Hostel for a few days. Their Excellencies visited Te Kuiti this afternoon and a civic reception was held at the public school. Addresses of welcome were given hy Mr. W. J. Broadfoot, Mayor of Te Kuiti,-and Mobena Patupatu, on behalf of the native residents. Lord Bledisloe addressed the residents and the children, and members of local bodies met Their Excellencies afterwards afc tea. Before leaving for Waitomo Their Excellencies visited the public hospital and talked with the patients.
