CHANGED VIEW OF LABOUR.
ALTERATION" OF PLATFORM. VANCOUVER. Sept. 24. The convention of the Trades and Labour Congress of Canada has abandoned the clause in its platform of principles which favours the exclusion of Orientals in favour of a declaration that aliens of all nationalities who cannot be assimilated shall be banned from Canada. The change was requested by the British Columbia Mill Workers' Union, which vouched for the staunch unionism of its Japanese members.
