The Paris correspondent of the British United Press says proposals which amount to a suggestion for an economic alliance between Prance and Germany will he made when the Prime Minister, M. Laval, and the Foreign Minister, M. Briand. are in Berlin at the week-end. Among the industries involved in i comprehensive scheme for industrial cooperation are shipping, steel production and aerial transport. It will also be suggested that France and Germany should take the lead in drawing up a scientific scheme of emigration, as a cure for unemployment. In the political field France will propose that the two countries should agree to consult and exchange views whenever political and economic questions arise between them.
