STUDY OF ARCHITECTURE.
TRAVELLING SCHOLARSHIP. AUCKLAND SCHOOL STUDENT. Under the first travelling scholarship granted tho school of architecture at the Auckland University College Mr. A. Salmond, of Dunedin, left by the Maunganui yesterday for Sydney, en route to London. Mr. Salmond has attended the Auckland University College for the past four or five years. In England Mr. Salmond will confer with tho New Zealand University representative and the Royal Institute of British Architects. He intends visiting London, tho Continent and America to increase his knowledge of the manufacture of the latest building materials and to study modern constructional methods. The recognition of the school of architecture at tho Auckland University College by the Royal Institute of British Architects will, no doubt, prove most helpful to him.
