MEASUREMENTS OF LIQUIDS.
An ordinary wineglass holds four tablespoonfuls, or 2n7„ or 16 teaspoonfuls, or two fluid ounces (apothecaries' measure). One pint in apothecaries' measure is equal to 20 fluid ounces, also 20oz. by weight of water, hence the rhyme: A pint of pure walor Weighs a pound and a qtinrfer. An ordinary-sized teacup holds about ono gill, or five or six ounces. An ordi-nary-sized tumbler holds :d>oul half a pint (about 10 fluid ounces). Ono teaspoonful is equal to ono dram. One dessertspoonful is equal to two drams. One lablcspoonful is equal to four drams.
