LIQUOR IN DANCE HALL.
WARNING TO PROPRIETOR. A complaint against the conduct of patrons attending a recent dance held in one of the licensed halls in Christchurch was received recently by the By-laws Committee of i\lie City Council, which reported that the complaint was fully justified, and the proprietor had been advised that unless he complied strictly with the conditions under which the licence was granted and prohibited the drinking of liquor by patrons, the licence would be cancelled. The Rev. J. K. Archer said that the proprietor admitted irregularities and had expressed regret.
