NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON". Friday. The 14th annual mee'ing of the New Zealand Motor Trade Association was held to-day and there was an attendance of 45 delegates from all parts of the Dominion. Mr. G. W. Tench, the president, explained that on account of the present economic conditions the usual conference was not being held this year and the present meeting: was of a formal nature to comply with the rules and to elect officers. The balance-sheet showed that the association was in a strong financial position in spite of adverse trading conditions.
The following officers were elected:— President. Mr. E. J. M. Ferguson (New Plymouth): vice-presidents. Mr. H. J. Jenkins jOamaru) and Colonel H. E. Avery (Wellington): auditor, Mr. E. B. Jennings (Palmerston North): executive Colonel Avery (Wellington), Messrs. F. B. Cadman (Auckland), E. W. Merewether (Wanganui). L. X. Montgomery (Nelson). G. W. Tench (Christchurch), H. J. Jenkins (Oamaru); members of the council. Messrs. F. Reynolds (Whangarei), G. W. Spragg (Auckland), W. B. Pomeroy (Hamilton). T. Jonas (Waihou), M. Jones (Te Kuiti), G. Taylor (Inglewood), R. Mortlock (Hawera), E. W. Merewether (Wanganui), W. L. Free (Masterton). G. Nicholls (Gisborne), K. M. Mills (Dannevirke), Colonel Avery (Wellington), J. C. Coote (Nelson), G. W. Tench (Christchurch).
