MOTOR SPEED RECORDS.
WOMAN DRIVER'S SUCCESS. Two further motor speed records have been broken by Mrs. Gwenda Stewart, the noted English woman driver, with an Austin Seven at the Montlhery track, near Paris, according to a cablegram received from England by Mr. G. H. Scott, the Austin factory representative in New Zealand. On September 15 Mrs. Stewart raised the 50 miles record to 98.43 miles an hour and the 50 kilometres to 98.09. both of which are over 11 miles an hour faster than the previous -records. Last week news was received that Mrs. Stewart had secured tour international class H records, three at over 109 miles an hour and the fourth at over 108 miles an hour, with the same car.
