PROFESSIONAL TOURNAMENT. LEADING PLAYERS BEATEN. LONDON, Sept. 23. In the second round of match play for the British professional golf championship there were some surprises. A. Padgham beat E. R. Whit combe, 6 up and 5; C. Ward beat Havers, 3 up and 2; M. Seymour beat R. A. Whitcombe, 3 np and 1. In the third round Easterbrook beat J. Taylor, 1 up; Mitchell beat Davies, 2 up and 1; Seymour beat Cotton, 1 up. The last eight are Padgham, Thompson, Ward, Weston, Herd, Mitchell, Easterbrook and Seymour.
