BRONZE EAGLE'S WORK. GALLOP BY TEA TRADER. ROYAL ARTIST, HIGH COMEDY. The course at Takanini was fairly hoavy yesterday when the. final gallops for Avondalo were performed on the middle grass. The horses were working on tho outside fringe and consequently the distances covored wore slightly more than thoso mentioned. Bronze Eagle (Gray) was first out, and. after striding round to the six-furlongs ho ran home comfortably in 1.31 3-5. Iho Guineas candidate looks bright and well and he can be depended upon to perform with credit on Monday. Ileremia (Gray) and Lndy Vane (Craig) were on terms, with tho former going slightly tho better at the end of six furlongs in 1.23 1-5. Ileremia should make a showing in tho Maiden Plato to-morrow. Bell Topper (Gray) was hanging on well at the end of half a mile in 535. Ho has quietened down well ana will run forward in tho Avondale Stakes if ho leaves tho barrier at all smartly Tea Chat (Bagby) was sprinted a furlong at the finish of his work. lie looks really well and it will be interesting to see if he runs on bottei in his race to-morrow than he does on tho track. Refresher Works Freely. Exaggeration (Gilmer) and Principal (Taylor) were given a working gallop < over seven furlongs in 1.44 2-5, both finishing ud their task well. Kefiesliet (Stewart was going better than Clopton (lnglis) at the end of five furlongs 111 1.7 2-5.
