Mr. W. W. Grove, of Wellington, is at the Hotel Cargen. ' ■ Mr. B. Marsack, of Palmerston North, is afc the Royal HotelMr. F. N. Ambler will leave for Sydney by the Maunganui to-day. Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Humphrey, of Gisborne, are at the Royal Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Emeny, of New Plymouth, are at the Central Hotel. Dr. E. B. Gunson left for Wellington last evening. He will return on Sunday. , Mr. C. F. Russell, of Palmerston North, and Mr. W. Grounds, of Hokianga, are at the Star Hotel. Mr. A. C. Aubrey, of Sydney, and Mr. J. W. Turnbull and Mr. D. H. Scott, oi Wellington, are at the Grand Hotel. The Hon. Dr. W.-E. Collins is returning to New Zealand on the Rangitiki, which is due at Auckland on October 1. Mr. G. B. Peachell, Mr. R. Gray and Mr. W. Rayworth, of Wellington, and Mr. V. Wallace, of New Plymouth, are at the Central Hotel. Mr. J. W. Dye, of the United States Consular Corps, who has been transferred from Wellington to Melbourne, will leave Auckland for Sydney by the Sonoma to-day. Sir Edward McCartney, ex-Agent-General for Queensland in London, arrived at Wellington by the Corinthic on Wednesday. He will leave Auckland for Sydney by the Maunganui to-day. Mr. John W. Ilicks, managing director of Paramount Films Service, Limited, Sydney, arrived in Auckland yesterday after completing a five weeks' tour of tha Dominion. He is at the Grand Hotel. With Mrs. Hicks, he will leave by the Sonoma this evening on his return to Sydney. Mr. M. Barak, one of the 1926 New Zealand Rhodes Scholars, has returned to London from the United States, and in October he will take cp a teaching post at King's College, University of London. In 1929 Mr. Barak was awarded a Commonwealth Fund Fellowship for Research in Chemistry, which- took him to Princeton University.
