WILKINS IN ARCTIC.
NORTH POLE NOT REACHED. ABANDONMENT OF ATTEMPT. LONDON, Sept. 22. A member of the crew of Sir Hubert Wilkins' submarine Nau'cilus has revealed the fact that the craft dived under the ice in the Arctic Sea three times in a week and remained beneath the surface two or three hours. He says bad weather compelled the expedition to abandon the attempt to reach the North Pole.
