ARMAMENTS TRUCE.
more details awaited. SUGGESTION AT GENEVA. British Wireless. RUGBY. Sept. 14. Xlie Prime Minister, Mr. Mac Donald, replying to questions in the House of Commons on the proposed armaments truce, stated that until the details are known the Government could not pronounce an opinion on the suggestion. Certain delegations had put forward a resolution in the Assembly of the League of Nations asking the Governments to abstain, pending the Disarmament Conference, from increasing their present level of firmaments. The British Government was keeping in close touch with its representatives at Geneva with regard to it. Captain Anthony Eden, Under-Secre-tary for Foreign Affairs, said the British Government was definitely opposed to any postponement of the date of the World Disarmament Conference.
