KARA PASHA BEATEN.
WRESTLING AT TOWN HALL. ANOTHER WIN FOR WALKER. ENDING IN FOURTH ROUND. The return wrestling contest at the Town Hall last evening between George Walker and Kara Pasha ended in the fourth round in favour of Walker. The match opened sensationally in the first round. Walker appeared a little groggy after being thrown with reverse headlocks and Pasha quickly applied a Boston crub to gain a submission fall. The large crowd, which filled the hall, was much surprised. The second round provided a further sensation. It had oidy opened when Walker attempted to pick the Turk up. Pasha resolutely refused to let go the ropes in spite of the efforts of the refereo who awarded Walker a penalty fall. The pair got to grips again, but the referee parted them and sent them to their corners. Pasha gesticulated wildly and the crowd hooted, some pennies being thrown into the ring toward Pasha's corner. t The match concluded in the fourth round when Walker had done a great deal of attacking. lie threw Pasha round the ring, but the Turk stood up and set out to apply another Boston crab. Walker kicked out violently, and his right foot caught his opponent under the jaw. Pasha was dazed and Walker pounced upon him, securing a body press and the deciding fall. Mr. C. Pollard referced the matcli and also the amateur preliminaries, which provided tlio crowd with no end of amusement. Walker was again the popular idol, although Pasha also had a fair following. Walker weighed 13st. 71b. and Pasha 12st. *Jlb Fall in Opening Round. The first fall of consequence was a head and arm scissors by Pasha, who had to resort to the ropes to prevent himself from being picked up. A reverse toebar had the Turk in difficulties, the pair going under the ropes. Walker was thrown with a series of reverse headlocks and then Pasha obtained a Boston crab which won him a submission fall in a little over six minutes. Tho second round had scarcely opened when Walker was awarded a penalty fall through Pasha refusing to let go the ropes when his opponent was attempting to lift him for a slam. A strong head scissors and armbar had Pasha in difficulties early in round three, the Turk countering with a similar hold. Walker's next holds were body presses and a reverse armlock, and tho Turk was thrown heavily with a headlock just before tho gong sounded. Walker continued his attack in the fourth round and it showed him to be the superior wrestler. He was nearly trapped, however, but kicked his way clear with the result that the match ended in the manner abovo described. Amateur Preliminaries. Light-weight.—R. Hobbs, 9st. 41b., beat F.
