WHANGAREI HOSPITAL.
ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT. NO PLUNKET SOCIETY GRANT. [JiY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] WHANGAREI. Monday. At a meeting of tho Whangarei Hospital Board to-day Dr. P. G. Brunette was appointed assistant medical superintendent at a salary of £375. There were six applicants. Or. Brunette has been acting in that capacity since the resignation of Dr. J. Pule some months ago. The board received advice from tho Director-General of Health that permission had been refused for the board to donate £SO to the local branch of tho Plunket Society. In tho past the board had given £IOO annually.
