AERO CLUB DANCE.
Members of the Hobsonville air base were the guests of the Auckland Aero Club on Saturday last. During the afternoon a return football match was played, which ended in a draw. In the evening the pupils and pilot section of the club entertained the visitors to a dinner held in the clubhouse. Later the lounge was cleared and preparations made for the fourth of the fortnightly dances, which are proving such an attraction to members and their friends. Enthusiastic applause was given to Mr. Russell Wood ior his humorous recitations, to Mr. R. Ruskin for his whistling number and for the songs rendered by Mrs. Hawea Rees. Mrs. R, Grierson (piano) and Mr. L. W. Swan (violin) assisted with the dance music. . ? About 150 dancers were present, among whom were: —Mrs. Spencer Mason, who wore black Chantilly lace and georgette; Mrs. D. M. Allan, black panne with georgette; Mrs. F. Treanor, black satin beaute; Mrs. S. A. Andrew, mid-blue faille; Mrs. Hawea Rees, cherry panne with diamante bow; Mrs. Rex Grierson, floral taffeta and coatee in lame; Mrs. S. Robertson, cherry faille; Mrs. R. I. Milligan, apricot satin beanta; Mrs. K. F. Hogan, cerise georgette; Mrs. C. J. Duff, iloral ninon; Mrs. M. Josephson, wine Chantilly lace; Mrs. J. M. Goodfellow, red lace; Mrs. J. Gallagher, Burgundy georgette; Mrs. C. Nimmon, black georgette ; Miss Athea Parker, black lace; Miss Msrjorie Suter, black georgette with coiu.ee in white panne, trimmed with fo. v ;; Miss Ina Wight, embossed- gold lame; Miss Margaret O'Connor, black goorgetto and diamante; Miss Joan Hudson, sea-green georgette; Miss M. Powell, cherry faille; Miss P. Masefield, eau-de-nil faille: Miss B. Suter, shell-pink net; M : .ss G. Haslam. black georgette; Miss I. Eadv, salmon-pink faille; Miss Roseta Sidebottom (England), taffeta frock in shades of lemon, and flame; Miss Peggy Leper, eau-de-nil georgette; Miss E. Andrew. eau-de-nil faille; Miss J. G. Andrew, cream lace and net; Miss Lois Mahon, blue organdie; Miss Coutts, white panne and diamante.
