AUCKLAND CABARETS.

Music, happy laughter and a cheery buzz of chatter greeted one on entering the Peter Pan'on Saturday evening, when scores of young people arrived in gayest mood to mako the evening a particularly bright one for the visiting Australian and All Black footballers, who were the guests of the management. The band played delightfully and generously conceded encore after encore. A novelty step and eccentric dance item proved very entertaining. Among those dancing were:—Mrs. Colin Taylor (Hamilton), dawn pink taffeta gown; Mrs. F. Lintott, gown of tea rose pink faille; Mrs. A. E. Moore, black satin moire; Mrs. Chns. Louisson, slimlilting frock of rose-patterned ivory crepe; Mrs. Be\ Gambier (Christchurch), flounced gown of black taffeta; Mrs. Crawford-Watson (Thames), gown of black crepe de soie. Miss Jean Gordon, cream satin beaute; Miss Marjorie Tiarks, maize gold chiffon velvet frock; Miss Pat Buddie, blue and amethyst floral net. frock; Miss Valerie Peacocke, black beaded chiffon.
