GIRL GUIDE DANCE.
A rlnneo in aid of the Takapuria Girl Guides was held at the Takapuna Boating Club house at Bayswater on Saturday evening. There were many Guides present with their friends and a thoroughly enjoyable timo was spent. Supper was served downstairs by the ladies' committee, which comprised:—Mrs. J. W. Williamson, Mrs. D'Esterre, Mrs. P. B. Arthur, Miss T. Rentoul, Miss Nash, Miss Locke and Miss White.
Among thoso present were:—Mrs. J. W. Williamson, who wore ;t frock of black georgette with Steele and jet heading; Mrs. D'Esterre, black souplo satin and georgette; Miss Betty Wilson, black georgette beaded in jet, with touches of green; Miss Trixio Rontoul, powder-blue sprigged taffeta; Miss Joan Craig, black crepe de chine, patterned in gold and yellow; Miss Arthur, palest pink lace; Miss B. Smith, pastel blue taffeta; Miss Phyllis Morgan, parchment shaded taffeta; Miss Wynvard, emerald green satin and georgette"; Miss Peggy Sexton, apple-green taffeta shot with silver; Miss Wood, pink georgette and net; Miss Iva Umdrill, leafgreen georgette with black velvet coat ; Miss Peggy Higson, lime-green satin with black satin coat; Miss Meg Grimshaw, water-green georgette; Miss Joy Oummings, pink crepe de chine and net; Miss Violet Whittaker, duchess blue georgette; Miss Joan Booth, cameo pink satin and embroidered net; Miss Nancy Arthur, sil ver lace; Miss Winstone, pastel georgette; Miss Janey Winstone, pink georgette; Miss Spriggs, pink georgette and lacu; Miss D. Harrison, pink organdie; Miss Yeoman, silver lame arid lace; Miss 1). Whittaker, rose-pink satin; Miss Louise Williamson, ciel blue taffeta; Miss Molly Deighton, sunset shaded taffeta; Miss Ida Ashwin, blue satin and net; Miss Grace Cambridge, whito lace; Miss Ella Umdrill, turquoise blue satin with back tics; Miss Margaret Bartnim, pink georgette with black scalloped hem; Miss Marjorie McMurtrie, sea-green satin.
