MISS TOLHURST'S FINE FEAT. SEVEN STROKES UNDER RECORD. (Received September Jl. 9.15 p.m.) SYDNEY. Sept. 11. In the second round of the Australian women's golf championships to-day Miss Susie Tolhurst, of Victoria, played phenomenal golf. She made no mistake, and was two under fours nt the 12th hole, where she defeated Mrs. Pennefather 8 up and 6. Then, playing on, Miss Tolhurst returned a score which .was seven strokes less than the. course record for women. The other results were as follows: — Mrs. Slack heut Miss L. "VVrav, 1 up; Miss Lofelivrc beat Miss Hammond, 4 up and 3; Miss Moin McLeod beat. Mrs. Tregloau, 3 up and 2. The semi-finals wdl he played on Monday.
