The leader of the British Himalayan Expedition, in a letter to the New Zealand Honey Board, sent from the camp at Sikkim, says the expedition returned to base on the completion of successful work in the Himalayas. During their work one party lived for 10 days solely on New Zealand honey, owing to their supplies having been raided by looters, who fortunately missed seven jars of honey packed in a haversack.
