WEDDING.

COULAM—BENNETT. < A wedding of interest to a wide circlfl of friends was celebrated last evening in All Saints' Church, when Miss Norene Bennett, only daughter of-Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Bennett, of Hamilton Road, Heme Bay, was married to Mr. Allan George Coulam, elder son of Mr.- and Mrs. G. W. Coulam, of Greenhithe. The church had been charmingly decorated by friends of the bride with spring flowers, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. W. Averill. Dr. Kenneth Phillips played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a graceful slim-fitting frock of ivory, satin beaute moulded to the hip-line, from which it fell in "soft, full flares to the ground, broken at the sides and front by a deep-flared frill from the hips to the knees. The corsage, Y-shaped at the back, was finished in the front with fine lines of silver beading and a little cluster of satin flowers touched with silver. The long veil of Brussels net, which was arranged in cap-fashion, fell to form a train, an inset design of embroidery finishing the corners. A bouquet of white daffodils, freesias, stock, white Iceland poppies, and maidenhair fern was carried. Tn attendance were Miss Dorothy Knox (chief bridesmaid), Miss Marjory Bennett (Palmerston North), Miss Florence Coulam, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Shirley Fannin (Palmerston North). The two former wore frocks of cricket green satin beaute cut on long, slim lines and falling in full flares to the ground. At the back of the shoulders were fastened short, full capes, and they also wore open-work mittens to match. Their green tulle hot* were turned back from the face in front and finished with sou-Wester brims behind, a narrow band of -small satin flowers defining the crowns. Bouquets of daffodils, Iceland poppies and other goldentoned flowers with maidenhair fern were carried.. The frocks worn by the two latter bridesmaids were of daffodil yellow satin beaute similarly fashioned, and they also wore mittens to match. Transparent hats of golden-coloured tulle, also of the same design, were worn and they, too, carried bouquets of the same toned flowers. Also in attendance as a flowergirl was Miss Elaine Bennett, cousin of the bride, who wore a long frilled frock of daffodil yellow net and a Dutch bonnet to match. She carried a posy of deep yellow primroses. The best man was Mr. Harvey Thomson, and the groomsmen Mr. Keith Anderson, Mr. Ronald Stacey and Mr. Percy Coulam. Acting as ushers at the church were Mr. Eric Pate, Mr. Niels Sylow, Mr. Ralph Pawson and Mr. Walter Agar. Following the ceremony a reception was held by Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Bennett at their home in Hamilton Road. Mrs. Bennett wore a frock of Burgundy-coloured, finely-embossed, ring velvet made with a short coatee effect, and sleeves pf georgette. Her Baku hat was of the sam» warm tone and she carried a posy of wine-coloured cyclamen, stock and sweetpeas. Mrs. Coulam, the bridegroom's mother, wore a frock of nattier f blue satin beaute and hat to tone.
