BURESH'S GOOD SHOWING., The announcement that George Walker will wrestle Stanley Buresh at the Town Hall next Monday evening has been enthusiastically received by patrons who have been anxious to see the return match between the Canadian Panther and, the. Nebraska gorilla man." Buresh came near to beating Walker in Christchurch, the Canadian being sent through the ropes by a flying tackle and badly dazed, but returning ; to ultimately win on points. Then Buresh met Pasha, who had just previously lost to Walker. Buresh was a fall to the good when the last round commenced. He attempted a flying tackle, but went through the ropes and was unable to continue. Southern authorities gave it as their view that as Buresh was unable to continue in the latter part of the last round. Pasha should have been awarded a fall. This would have meant one fall each, but, as the Nebraskan had had the better of the wrestling, he should have been given the decision, or, at least a draw. Buresh. is now in much better form, and Monday night's conteßt should • be a thriller. » DEMONSTRATION BY LUEICH. Patrons of the Civic Theatre this evening and'for the following six nights on which the programme will be presented, will gam an idea of what the sport of wrestling is like. Tom Lurich, the big .Russian, who defeated Tom Alley at the. Tows. Hall on Monday night >st. will make a personal * appearance bn~*ihe" stage' each evening to demonstrate the various holds and methods of training, besides .ways and means of generally keeping physically fit. Apart from ■ Luricb's performance two specially-selected and' trained girls will give an exhibition of wrestling, this being a decided novelty so far as New Zealand is concerned.
