FALSE STATEMENTS ALLEGED. "I consider the ends of justice will be served if I dismiss these two people, aB they have already beon sufficiently punished," said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday, when William Robert Fulton, aged 48, liftman (Mr. Cocker), and Freda Constance Pratz (Mr. Matthews) were charged with wilfully making two false statements to the registrar of births. Evidence showed that two children had been registered under the names of Parker and Parkes. Pratz had admitted that the two authorities produced in Court, signed Parker and Parkes respectively, were signed in her handwriting, but she did not remember signing them. Mr. Cocker submitted that there was no,evidence whatever against Fulton, and asked that the case against him should be dismissed. Mr. Matthews said that although the signatures were in handwriting resembling that of accused, they might be forgeries. There was no proof that she had wilfully made '.false statements.
