NO OVERHEAD BRIDGE. DECISION OF DEPARTMENT. The district engineer .of the Railway Department, in a communication received by the Otahuhu Borough Council et its meeting last evening, stated that in view of the provision of automatic warning devices at the Mangere railway crossing and the present need for strict economy it is not intended to incur expenditure on the construction of an overhead bridge at the crossing at present.
