EMBARGO ON FLOUR.
ACTION BY BRAZIL. SEQUEL TO RECENT DEAL. WASHINGTON, August 31 Mr. Carlton Jackson, American commercial attache at Rio do Janeiro, has cabled to the Department of Commerce stating that Brazil has barred imports of flour for the next 18 months. The message said this action was taken to protect the millers, who are to purchase from the Brazilian Government the 25,000,000 bushels of wheat for which 1.050,000 bags of coffee were exchanged with the United States Farm Board.
