LARGE DECREASE SHOWN. FIGURES FOR ELEVEN MONTHS, The general financial stringency is reflected in the revenue returns of 'Auckland Harbour Board for August. Reporting ab yesterday's meeting ot thu board, the treasurer, Mr. C. Garratt, said jib" revenue last month totalled £23,558, a decrease of £6619, as compared with the figure for the corresponding month last year. The receipts fo: the 11 months ended August 31, 1931, totalled £325,239, a decrea& of £45,47! i on the figures for the similar period of 1930. Tha progress of the depression, eaid the treasurer, was indicated in thu fact 'that the -reventie to date this yea? was £10,047 below the estimates. Receipts; through the port of Onehungn during August were £286, a decrease ol £343, as compared with the income fo:! 'August, 1930. The 11 months' total wai £4391, a decrease of £1324.
