CHARGE OF GAMING.
TOBACCONIST ARRESTED. As tho result of a visit by Detectives McWhirter and Hamilton to a tobacconist's shop in Pitt Street at noon on Saturday, Frederick Walter Breed was arrested on a charge of using the premises as a common gaming house. Later he was charged before Mr. E. A. Craig, J.P., at the central police station, and whs remanded to appear at the Police Court this morning. Accused was allowed bail in the sum of £IOO.
