CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING.
YOUTHFUL PLAYERS' BATTLE

SYDNEY, August 25
Ferriar and Williams, tho 16-year-old golf champions, had another great battle in a teams match between New South Wales and Victoria at the championship golf carnival to-day. With his Victorian opponent dormie two, Ferrier fought magnificently over the last two holes to carry the game to tho 19th, where the Victorian,, Williams, won. The Victorian teams won by four matches to three. Victoria also won sis matches to four against Queensland.
The amateur foursomes title of Australia was won by 11. H. Bettington and G. Fawcetfc with 149. Fcrrier and Apperley were runners-up with 150. Then came Whitton and Nettlefold, 153.
