The Wellington College team won the inter-college Rugby tourney hero to-day, defeating Wanganui Collegiate School by 28 points to 11. Nelson College,, by defeating Chl-ist'a College by 7 points to 3, was runner-up. .Wellington gamed two wms. Nelson a win and a loss, Christ s and Wanganui a, draw and a loss each. Nelson owed its victory to a drop-kicked goal by Richards, who . played ive-eighths. Hpence scored H>e opening try for Christ S College, but Arthur was unablo to convert. The annual South Island secondary schools' Rugby tournament commenced today in fine weather. The ground was heavy. Christchurch Boys' High School defeated last year's champions, Southland Boys' High School, by 21 points to G, after a fine exhibition. In the second match Otago Boys' High School beat Timaru Boys' High School by 8 points to 6, play being very even. The tournament concludes on Wednesday, to-day's winners meeting in the final.
