WHANGAREI DOCTOR FINED. CHANGE IN PROCEDURE. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TTHANGAREI, Monday. A charge of failing to supply a receipt to the Whangarei Hospital Board for the sum of £2O was made, against Dr. H. F. Buckley (Mr. Trimmer) in the Magistrate's Court to-day, before Mr. G. N. Morris, S.M. It was stated that for a long period an endorsement on the board's cheque acted as a receipt for all doctors, but the Audit Department now required a formal receipt. The magistrate imposed a fine of £2 and costs.
