WASTED ENTERPRISE.
TAXI MAN'S FAILURE. Another example of modern business methods came to light recently, says a Christchurch paper. A man was before the Court on a traffic charge,' and in consequence had his licence cancelled for several months. When he returned to his office he found a man waiting to see him, a man who subsequently turned out to be the representative of-a city'taxi firm. The taxi man wanted to know if he could sign the other up with a contract to drive him to business every morning until the driving licence was restored. Unfortunately, it was not quite the right time to approach the man, and the taxi man's smartness went unrewarded.
