ATTACK OP APPENDICITIS.
OPERATION PERFORMED.
NO CAUSE FOR ANXIETY. By Telegraph-—Press Association—Copyright. (Received August. 23. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. August, 22. flic Duke of Gloucester is suffering from a slight attack of appendicitis. It is not in a severe form and no anxiety is felt. An operation was performed at 10 a.m. to-day. It was quite successful and the patient's condition is satisfactory. The Duke passed a quiet day. His condition continues to be satisfactory. The bulletins are signed by Mr. E. C. Lindsay, formerly of Christchurcli, New Zealand.
Mr. Ernest Charles Lindsay, who was born in 1883, is a son of tho Rev. George Lindsay, of Christchurcb. He is surgeon in charge of the out-patients at London Hospital and surgeon to Poplar Hospital. He took a medical course at Otago University and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. He is a C.B E. He married in 1921 Mrs. Mae Davis, of St. Margaret's Bay. Sir. Lindsay practises in Wimpole St.
The Rev. G. Lindsay is a Presbyterian minister at Little River, and was for some time in charge of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church at Invercargill.
