WEEK-END WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN THE SOUTH.
Auckland.—ldeal weather prevailed during -the week-end. Saturday was bright and sunny and a light breeze was blowing from the south-west. The wind changed to the north-east yesterday morning and the sky was dull and cloudy in the evening. The barometer was falling slowly after mid-day and registered 29.95 in. last night.
Wellington.—Saturday was fine and sunny, with a light north-west wind that later veered to the south. Yesterday was again fairly sunny, with a light shower of rain, followed by more sunshine. The afternoon was cloudy and calm. Christchurch.—With the exception of brief periods of sunshine on Saturday afternoon the weather over the week-end was dull and cold. Heavy rain fell early yesterday morning and there were showers until nearly midday. The wind remained in the north-east and the barometer was steady until yesterday afternoon, when it commenced to fall.
Dunedin. —The weather was cold and unsettled on Saturday, with light showers in the afternoon and evening and a light breeze from the north-east. Drizzling rain fell throughout yesterday, accompanied by a cold north-east wind, which made conditions unpleasant. The barometer fell slightly and the reading was 29.80 in. last evening..
