THE CITY OF KIMBERLEY.
REPAIR WORK TO BEGIN. REPLACEMENTS FROM ENGLAND. Repairs to the steamer City of Kimberley, which has been in port at Auckland since June 2, are expected to be commenced toward the end of this week. The vessel lost her propeller in the Pacific, and was towed to Auckland by the New Zealand Shipping Company's motor-ship Opawa. Besides losing her propeller the City of Kimberley received damage to Ijer tail shaft, crank shaft and stern tube and replacements bad to be despatched from England. A new propeller, crank shaft and tail shaft arc on board the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Gisborne, which reached Wellington from London yesterday, and is. due at Auckland next Friday. The. new stern tube is onboard the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Remuera, which is due at Auckland from London on September 6.
