AUCKLAND CABARETS.

PETER PAN. A particularly cheery spirit prevailed at the Peter Pan Cabaret on Saturday evening when the cabaret celebrated its first birthday with a gala night. Novelty items had been arranged for the amusement of the cancers, including a song and tap dance number by little Sliss Patricia Boyle. An item was also given by Sir. and Sirs. Butler. To add to the general gaiety caps and balloons and ail original variety of tin rattle were distributed. The Peter*Pau Band dispensed a bright selection of dance" tones, the host of dancers thoroughly appreciating their efforts. Bo wis of daffodils and fern and tall Iceland poppies decorated the tables and cubicles.

Sloore. ivory and rose floral chiffon frock: Sirs. Albert Neville, patterned moire in tones of green and blue on an ivory ground; Sirs. Chas. Louisson. amethyst georgette and diamante; Sliss Erma Andrews, claret coloured satin beaute; Sliss Betty Parr, leaf green fische net; Sliss Betty SfcLen.nan, larkspur blue moire frock; Sliss Annette Thome George, sunset pink tucked georgette and lace; Sliss Audrey Walton, black lace and georgette; Sliss _ StolSy Bailey, pink satin embroidered with silver beads; Sliss Waller, forget-me-not blue chiffon with silver beaded embroideries; Sliss Pagni, frilled frock of water-lily green organdi; SLss_ Sleg Russell, gentian blue flowered ninon; Sliss Eila Brampton, black moire frock; Sliss Slarjorie Suter, frock of ivory moire worn with short white fur-trimmed coatee.

SYSIONDSVILLE. A special supper dance which was held by Miss Spencer at ths Svmondsville Studio on Saturday evening proved to be a very bright and cheery affair. The studio was decorated with multi-coloured balloons, flowers and foliage, and there was a good attendance of dancers. Supper was served in a downstairs room, where the tables were arranged with pink flowers. Sfr. Gordon Comes and his Slayfair Orchestra played bright and Catchy numbers.
