CONSOLIDATING SCHOOLS.
HOWICK AND PAKURANGA.
QUESTION OF ACCOMMODATION.
A proposal to consolidate the Howick and Pakuranga schools is being investigated by the Auckland Education Board. The schools are about two miles apart. Accommodation at the Howick school is seriously taxed owing to an increase of pupils during the past two years and an additional classroom is needed. There is spare accommodation at the Pakuranga school owing, it is staled, to many of the children from that district attending the Howick school. The possibility of securing a site midway between the two schools is being considered.
