A SERIES OF THEFTS.
TWO MEN FOR SENTENCE. [BX TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NELSON, Saturday. A series of thefts was admitted in the Police Court to-day by Alexander James Chorion and Herbert Harrington. It was stated that on July 24 accused left Christchurch in a motor-car, intending to travel up the East Coast across to Beefton in order to get work. However, neither reached his destination, for on the trip the pair committed a series of thefts at various places. The two accused were committed for sentence in the Supreme Court in .Wellington. Barrington also pleaded guilty to several thefts at Christcirarch.
