AIRMEN FLY TOO LOW. EAGERNESS FOR PHOTOGRAPHS. (Received August 21, 9.35 p.m..; LONDON. Ausrust 21. The proprietors cf the Daily Sketch wore fined £125. and of the Dauy Express £IOO, because pilots of their aeroplanes new at a height of under 5000 feet to secure photographs ot the navai cordite factory at Holton Heath after the recent explosion there. The fine in the case of tne Daily Sketch was increased because its pilot was told that the newspaper had obtained permission to take photographs. The Daily Express pleaded competition to secure news ox the disaster as justification. The Admiralty had intervened, and prevented the publication of the photo-G^TZL-pllS* An explosion occurred at the Royal Naval cordite factory at Helton Heath, near Wareham, Dorset, on June 23, in which 10 men were killed and 25 injured. The explosion occurred in the _ nitrating house, and was heard for 20 miles. The factory was established during the war. It employs about 1500 people.
