THEODORE'S HONOUR.
ASPERSIONS NOT REFUTED. MUNGANA CASE ENDING. (Received August 17, 9.15 p.m.) BRISBANE, August 17.. Wheu tho hearing of tho Mungana caso was resumed to-day Mr. A. D, McOill, in the course of his final address to tho jury on behalf of tho Crown, commented on tho action of Mr. E. G. Theodore, in particular, in not entering tho witness box. Counsel said it should be tho one desire of a man holding a high position such as Mr. Theodoro's to defend his honour against aspersions of fraud and corruption. His failure to do so must strengthen the inference of his guilt. Counsel for tho Crown have prepared 37 questions for the jury's consideration. Tho questions bear directly on tho evidence. Tho hearing was adjourned.
