OCEAN ISLAND MURDER.

ARREST OF A CHINESE. The wite of a Chinese interpreter at Ocean Island was murdered recently, her mutilated body being found in her home. A Chinese was arrested and charged with the crime, and the case will be tried at Suva. The prisoner, in charge of three Gilbert Island policemen, was taken from Ocean Island to Suva by the steamer Nauru Chief, which arrived at Auckland yesterday. Thirteen Chineso witnesses also travelled on the vessel.
