Mrs. Violet Baring, a niece of the Marquess of Zetland, was killed instantly when a Gipsy Moth aeroplane crashed at Wokingham, near Reading. A passenger, Mr. Philip Noble, was fatally injured. This is the 12th civil air disaster in Britain this year. There have been 21 deaths.

Mr. Philip Ernest Noble was a banker, a director of the National Bank of Scotland, and a partner in the firm of Lambton and Company. His father was the late Sir Andrew Noble, the first baronet.
