HOAXES AT WIMBLEDON.

BRITISH PLAYER ANNOYED, BAD EFFECT ON PLAY. . | LONDON, July 10. A series of foolish and embarrassing tricks played upon him obviously affected 'one of [Britain's representatives, F. J. One hoax consisted of the arrival of several special photographers bv supposed appointment; another silly tries was tho removal of all his flannels, ostensibly to the cleaners. 'I ho latest hoax was when' a house agent telephoned him particulars of a house at, Ascot, stating that he bad been asked to do so by Mr. ferry's father. Mr. S. F. Perry, his father, who is a Labour member of the House of Commons, is determined to discover the perpetrators of these tricks, and has appealed to Scotland Yard.
