REFORM IN WAIPAWA. MR. J. D. ORMOND TO STAND. [BY TELEGRAPH. —FRESS ASSOCIATION.] WAIPUKURA.tr, Tuesday. A large meeting of Reform supporters of the Waipawa electorate held at Waipukurau to-day selected Mr. John Davi'W) Ormond, aged 26, as the party's candidate at the general election. Mr. Ormond, who is a grandson of the late Hon. J. D, Ormond, was born at Waipukurau, ;t!id was educated at Christ's College. AUCKLAND SUBURBS. REFORM PARTY ACTIVITY. General meetings of Reform Party supporters in the Auckland Suburbs electorate in connection with the extension of tho organisation of tho party have been held this week. Local committees were appointed and arrangements made for holding further meetings at which delegates will be appointed to attend a conference to select an official candidato. Good attendances at New Lynn and Titirangi on Monday evening were prosided over by Mr. M. Laing and Mr. T. A. Bishop respectively. Mr. J. Prickott was chairman at a meeting at Birkenhead last evening.
