AUCKLAND CITY RATES.
AMOUNT FOR YEAR STRUCK.
The rates in tho city of Auckland for the year 1931-32 were formally struck at a special meeting of the City Council yesterday. Tho aggregate amount of the rates is 3s in the pound, exclusive of water rates.
The Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, stated that the rate notices would not be sent out immediately. While the rates were now due, the 10 per cent, penalty was not incurred until the expiration of six months and 14 days after the issue of the demand.
