\ Sirs. E. C. Montgomerie (Auckland) ■and her two daughter's, who travelled by the Rangitane, have been sightseeing in London, and presently they will.start on a motor tour of England and Scotland. In July they will go to the Continent, writes our London correspondent on Juno 12.

Mrs. H. W. Segar and Miss Segar (Auckland) are making their headquarters, at Barnet, Hertfordshire, with Dr. Segar. They arrived in the middle of May, having come via Canada and the United States, writes our London correspondent. After a Scottish tour they will motor through Devonshire, Cornwall, Wales and the English Lakes District. They think of leaving for Auckland in October or November.

An enjoyable bridge evening was held in the United Political Women's League rooms on Thursday evening. The prizes were won by Mrs. Thornton and Mr, Cusworth. Among those present were:— Mesdames Auber-Jones, Roberts, Thornton, Duggan, Middlebrook, Williams, .McNickle, Gearey, Conglan, Coney, Owen, Pearson, Thomson, Cooper, Cooke, Cusworth, Jensen, Segedin and Molesworth; Misses Thomson, Alexander, Millington, White, Powell, Cooke, Owen, Lawes and Campbell.

Miss.R. Palmer (Auckland) and Miss R. Easton (sister-in-charge, massngo department, <•' Wellington Public Hospital), who are on holiday until the end of tho year, reached England last week after an interesting trip via Suez, writes our London correspondent on Juno 12. During their stay they intend to motor through the British Isles, and they also hope to include a Norwegian tour. Tho return journey will be made via the United States, visiting New York, Boston and Los Angeles., A break may bo made in Honolulu, where Miss Palmer has relatives.

Miss E. Ayling' (late instructress in charge of handicraft work for soldiers in hospital, Auckland) arrived by tho Balranald, and expects to stay in England until September or October, writes our London correspondent on June 4. She has been spending a short time with her relatives, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Beaufoy, at Dover. Now she is arranging to study arts and crafts at a London studio during the next three months. Miss Ayling hopes to have a short tour on the Continent, to include Holland, Belgium, Italy, France and Switzerland, before going back to New Zealand, via Canada and Vancouver.

Miss Nell Lush and Miss Edna Ilerrick were hostesses at the fortnightly meeting of the Playbox Dramatic Club. The entertainment consisted of a reading of John Galsworthy's three-act comedy "Windows," which was arranged by Mr. W. Russell-Wood. The dialogue was cleverly handled and a convincing performance was much enjoyed; The cast was as follows: —Geoffrey March, read by Mr. Keith Gilmour; Joan March (his wife), Miss Nell Lush; Mary March, Miss Edith Rosser; Johnny, Mr. Ronald Bowie; cook, Miss Maud Regan; Mr. Bly (a windowcleaner), Mr. Russell-Wood; Faith Bly (his daughter), Miss Berta Zoellcr; Blunter (a strange man), Mr. Douglas Green; Mr. Barnabas- (a policeman), Mr. P. C. Garrett.
