VALUE OF NEWSPAPERS.
BEST ADVERTISING M E DIUIV!. EXPERIENCE OF AMERICA. Ample evidence of the predominance of newspaper advertising over other forms of publicity was found by Mr. David Cody, director of the Charles Haines Advertising Agency, Limited, Wellington, who returned this week from a visit to Canada and the United States.
Mr. Cody Raid by far the major portion of every publicity campaign was devoted to the daily papers. Through that medium manufacturers in the United States ajid Canada —who, incidentally, were probably the keenest buyers of advertising value in the world—found their most effective and economical approach to the great buying public.
"The amounts spent on advertising in America are tremendous." said Mr. Cody. "There, perhaps, more than in any other country, have business executives grasped the enormous potentiality of advertising and turned it to the utmost account."
