HAMILTON.

Members, of the Lyceum Club met in tho club lounge on Wednesday evening t6( celebrate the fifth birthday of the club. The donations for the evening -were in aid of the Welfare League, and Mrs. 11. J. Greenslade spoke of tho work the league was doing in Hamilton. Mrs. Hugh Douglas, president, welcomed tho members, and an enjoyable programme was arranged,- which included the following items: —Duet by Mrs. ' G. R. Barnett, and Mrs. H. J. Ferguson; song, Miss 0. Young People's Dance,, _ A very enjoyable little dance, organised by the Claudelands Ladies' Guild, for the young people, was held in the Claudelands Hall on Thursday evening. Tlia hall was decorated with wattle and greanery, and music for dancing was }, supplied by members of the Rio Orchestra. Mrs. A. W.
