DAMAGE BY WHIRLWIND
HOUSES AT BIRMINGHAM. HUNDREDS LEFT UNSAFE. LONDON, June 15. The whirlwind which struck Birmingham yesterday left 1000 houses in a dangerous condition. Tho entire staff of the Public Works Department was' mobilised and tho whole police force is guarding tho unsafe property. Hundreds of shop fronts were battered in.
