ley Co-opcrativo Dairy Company, Limited, will receive an advanco of 11 Jd per Jb. butter-fat, free of deductions. The amount io be paid out by tho Norfolk Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, in advances for tho May supply will bo £666, tho rates of advance being 9d per lb. for cheese and lOd per lb. for butter. Next month the company will distribute a bonus of Id per lb. for October to May supplies, inclusive of jd for September. The average price for finest, with deferred payment, dividend and cost of cream collection added, will bo 12d per lb. for the season just, closed. For the 1929-30 season it was Is 6d.

Figures for the season just closed for tho two local dairy factories show that the Northern Wairoa Company has a substantial drop in total output of butter and pay-out, while tho Ruawai Company has increased its output of butter by over 100 tons, bu£ is down considerably in its pay-out to suppliers. Tho Northern Wairoa Company will pay a bonus of l,d per lb. for October, November and December butter-fat supplies, but this will still leave suppliers much below the amount received for tho previous season. The Ruawai factory has shown a steady increase in output. Tho figures aro as follows . Northern Wairoa.—Butter-fat received, 4,'107,3231b,, against 4,557,1091b. the previous season; pavment to suppliers. £185;589 (£272,226); butter made, 2410 tons' (2500 tons). Ruawai.—Butter-fat received, 1,783,240 lb. (1,608,4241b.); payment to suppliers, £80.034 (£101,823). This is the first time since the 1917-18 season that the Northern Wairoa. Company has shown a decline in output, and the total pay-out is the lowest since the 1921-22 season. The pay-out per pound is tho lowest sinco the 1913-14 season.
